Taiwan Day 2

We went to bed early and were able to sleep, despite our internal clocks being all out of whack, and we all feel much better this morning.

Wen Ling made pancakes for us this morning, and she had gotten Fruit Loops for the boys. She brought home Domino's pizza for lunch - they are all trying very hard to make us feel at home.

We went to a market in the nearby city of Longtan this morning - visualize narrrow streets with street vendors on both sides, selling everything from shoes to live chickens, to cow feet. The boys were pretty overwhelmed at first, even though we really weren't stared at all that much.

The boys are having a great time with Ling Jia, and the three of them went swimming twice today. Molly took Ling Jing swimming this morning, and she loved it.

Pei-ko came home with a web cam for me today and he got it installed on my laptop. I think that while we're in China with Wen Ling and Ling Jia he wants to be able to see that we haven't lost them.

Wen Ling's mother took us all out to dinner tonight. It was kind of a buffet - we picked out what we wanted to cook and then we each had a small pot of boiling water in front of us to cook in. The most interesting part was the little conveyer belt that went around the room, carrying more things to cook. The boys thought it was pretty interesting when the little octopus went by. They decided not to try it......
